On a Dance Tip
After years of toe tapping and joyless head nodding on Edinburgh’s substandard club scene we’re now enjoying something of a renaissance on the city’s dance floors.
This weekend sees hotly tipped Edinburgh club night Heavy Gossip expand their operation and touch down at Cabaret Voltaire for a one off party. The stellar lineup featuring Belgian house legend Aeroplane looks set to lift the roof this Saturday! After hi-profile remixes for Grace Jones and Friendly Fires, Aeroplane has developed a unique nu-disco sound that pulses across the dance floor. Support on the evening will be provided by Xile’s own Adam Le Chic; get yourself down to Cabaret Voltaire this Saturday and support your local DJ!

The long awaited return of Musika to The Liquid Rooms has been a massive boost for the town‘s clubbing fraternity! Since reopening in August Musika has showcased a series of dance floor heavyweights like Felix the Housecat, James Zabelia and Joris Voorn. The next date on Musika’s jam packed calender is Saturday November 13th when Radio Slave and Heidi hit the decks. If you fancy a dose of jackin’ electronica and upfront house check out www.musikanights.com.
Edinburgh’s premier clubbing institution is also gearing itself up for another naughty New Year with the recent announcement that Booka Shade will be playing a live set in the Picturehouse after their appearance in the Gardens this hogmanay. After the success of recent album More! this is sure to be a sell out show. We know where we’ll be at the bells!
